Supporting documents:

Supporting documents are only required from organizations who wants to register domain name .com.my and .my with Mynic, however they should provide supporting documents as mentioned below for new registration or modifying existing registrant’s name.

New Registration:

If you want new domain registration, the supporting documents should be provided and after verification of these documents, new domain name will be registered.

Organizations depending on their business type can apply for the following second level domain names.

.com.my (for commercial organizations)

.edu.my ( for Malaysia educational institutions)

.gov.my ( for Malaysia government )

.mil.my ( for Malaysia military)

.net.my ( for networks )

.org.my ( for other organizations)

Supporting documents required for .com.my, .net.my and org.my domain names:

The following supporting documents are required for the organizations, which are supported by Malaysian ROC, ROB and ROS.

A company, which is certified under Companies Act 1965 (Akta Syarikat 1965):

The copy of Certification by Registrar of Companies as supporting documents for the companies, which are registered under Companies Act 1965 is required i.e.

•           Borang 8

•           Borang 9

•           Borang 13

•           Borang 19

•           Borang 83

•           Borang 83A

A business, which is certified under Business Registration Act 1956

The copy of Certification by registrar of business i.e. Borang D is required as supporting document.

A business, which is certified under Commercial License Ordinance 1948

The copy of Certification by Registrar of Commercial License Ordinance i.e. Borang B is required as supporting document.

A society registered under Societies Act 1966

The copy of certification by Registrar of Societies as supporting document for societies registered under Societies Act 1966 is required i.e.  

•           Borang 3 Peraturan 5 Peraturan 7(1) (Kebenaran Menukar Nama)

•           Peraturan 7(4) (Sijil Kebenaran untuk penubuhan cawangan)

Supporting documents for other types of organizations

For representative office, regional office, foreign embassy and foreign office, the official letter from the concerned ministry as supporting document is required. For other organizations, either formation document (ROS) or certificate by respective certification bodies will be required as supporting document. If your organization is not listed here, you may send us an email and enquire about the supporting document required for your specific case.

 Supporting document for .gov.my domain name registration

Official letter from Head of government department or agency, official request letter from State Secretary and official request letter from head of local authority will be required as supporting documents for domain name registration for federal government departments, state government departments and local authority respectively.

Supporting document for .edu.my domain name registration

Malaysia educational institutes can provide either a request letter from University Administration for registering a domain name for a university, School or Polytechnic Principal, headmaster of a government aided school and the official letter head from a state education department regarding approval of school in case of private school as supporting document for registering .edu.my domain name.

Supporting document for .mil.my domain name registration

The domain name .mil.my is reserved for military or defence agencies and the request letter from head of the agency will be required as supporting document for registering the domain name.

Modifying existing registration:

If you want to make a modification in your existing domain name, you are required to submit the supporting document and once we receive your documents, we will review these and after verification new domain name will be registered.
